Renowned golf course architect Rees Jones had a devilish inspiration when he designed this expertly maintained 6,766 yard, par 72, 18-hole course with its lakes, interesting fairway angles, challenging greens and 61 sculptured sand traps. Hell’s Point also offers free, full-color Par View GPS system on all golf carts. Surrounded by a wildlife preserve, Hell’s Point offers the area’s most secluded golf experience. It’s no wonder Hell’s Point has been awarded “Best of the Beach” by the Virginian Pilot Reader’s Poll 14 years running.

When renowned golf course architect GENE BATES and P.G.A. Tour Star FRED COUPLES collaborated to build Heron Ridge, the standard in golf in Virginia Beach was forever changed! Heron Ridge Golf Club opened in the spring of 1999 and was the first new public golf course to open in over 10 years in Virginia Beach. It was certainly worth the wait! This Couples/bates design features 13 of 18 holes with water hazards and natural wetlands. The front nine features a links-style through rolling hills with strategically placed bunkers and water. The back nine shifts the setting to mature stands of oaks, beeches, elms and more water.

Virginia Beach National Golf Club was developed in 1999 on a 200 acre tract of city-owned property that was a mixture of open farm lands and wooded areas. The original operator developed this property for championship and tournament play and was host of the National Tour & Virginia Beach Open for 6 years. The routing of the course is classic in nature and features six holes adjacent to the impressive clubhouse and provides many breathtaking views. The course is also enhanced by the strategic use of woodlands, lakes & natural waste areas featuring a wide variety of native natural grasses.
