What's New in Ocean City?
Ocean City Center for the Arts
Ocean City’s newest cultural amenity, the Center for the Arts, is a state-of-the-art facility that is home to the Art League of Ocean City. The building houses two galleries which feature artwork in all media including paintings, photography and 3D works. The Center for the Arts also features the area’s only pottery studio. Upstairs are five working artist studios where you can watch and interact with artists at work. Two more classrooms, an art library and a retail area for artisan works fill out the building. The gallery is open Tuesdays–Sundays 11 a.m.–4 p.m. Public receptions for the exhibit openings are held each first Friday of the month from 5–7 p.m. All exhibits and open receptions are free. Call 410-524-9433 or visit www.ArtLeagueOfOceanCity.org for a schedule of art instruction for all levels and summer camps for kids. You can also follow them on Facebook.
Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club
Experience a brand new game this year at Ocean Pines’ newly renovated greens. Last year as part of its “Rediscover Ocean Pines” program, Billy Casper Golf began converting all greens on Ocean Pines’ 18-hole golf course to United States Golf Association-specified A1 Bentgrass. The front nine was completed in 2012, and the back nine has been recently converted this spring. In addition, Ocean Pines has installed new drainage pipes and re-shaped bunker edges on the front nine. Rediscover the beauty, the challenge and the art of the game at Ocean Pines Golf & Country Club. 410-641-6057. www.OceanPinesGolf.org

Featuring a host of fresh seafood entrees, famous fried chicken and some of the best crab cakes on the beach, it’s easy to see why it’s so popular. And, did we mention the views? Only Peaky’s Rooftop features panoramic views of Ocean City (both the ocean and the bay).
