October 2, 50th Anniversary of Battleship NC The Battleship NORTH CAROLINA came to Wilmington, NC on Oct. 2, 1961 and opened to the public later that year. For this day, the ship will open to the public at 1961 prices, 50 cents for adults and 25 cents for kids.
